International Star as a Surprise Guest in the Gala
Helsinki International Ballet Festival ends with a Gala Performance on Thursday, June 11 with a Guest Star on international level. The worldfamous principal dancer Denis Matvienko, born 1979 in Ukraine, will be performing with the winners in the Gala.
70 dancers from 25 countries at HIBC 2009
The sixth Helsinki International Ballet Competition is about to start. Young talented dancers from all over the world have arrived in Helsinki ready to show their competence to the distinquished jury as well as to the enthusiastic audience. Mr Kenneth Greve, Chairman of the jury is pleased to tell that there are 70 senior and junior dancers plus four non-competing partners from 25 countries. These young talents try to reach the Gloria Grand Prix, 12 000 euros.
